Cedar Creek Lake, Kentucky

Fishing

Cedar Creek Lake is Kentucky's newest lake, created in 2003. It is also the second largest state-managed lake in Kentucky. Cedar Creek Lake is best known as a great sport-fishing lake. It is approximately 792 acres and the state owns a 300-foot buffer zone around the lake to ensure fisherman have access to the entire shoreline. There are three boat ramps and a fishing pier. The lake was built with many fish attractors and underwater habitats. Try your luck or skill at catching the large-mouth bass, blue gill, shellcrackers, and catfish. See the Fish and Wildlife Department website for more details.

Kayaking/Canoeing

The other thing that Cedar Creek Lake is known for is the kayaking and canoeing. Great exercise and a lot of fun. Bring your own kayak or canoe or you can rent one from a local business here in Lincoln County called The Leaky Canoe. They're rates are very reasonable and they will pickup/deliver the kayaks!
