Senior Swim Time

Southern Viking B&B is pleased to offer a fun and healthy activity for seniors this summer: Senior Swim Time. This class is water aerobics designed for fun and light exercise (it does not meet any particular therapeutic, medical, or educational guidelines). The swim time is from 11:30 to 12:30 on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays during the months of June, July, and August.

Inclement Weather Policy

Southern Viking B&B will make a decision to cancel class by 10am on each class day if the weather is will be bad. We will post that information on our Facebook page. Anyone without Facebook is welcome to call to check. Classes cancelled due to inclement weather will not be rescheduled.

Individual Session Option

You can join for an individual session if you do not want to commit to a whole month, subject to availability of space (pool maximum occupancy is 20 people). The cost for joining an individual session is $7.

We are pleased to announce the rates and details for renting our pool and/or pavilion for your parties and special events.

Pool Pricing***

* Events with more than 25 guests include a parking attendant to assist guests with parking and a bathroom attendant.

*** The full cost of pool parties must be paid when reserving the event. It is fully refundable up to two weeks prior to the event date and not refundable after that unless we're able to book another guest, in which case we'll refund that amount. A refundable cleaning deposit of $50 must be paid with any balance prior to the start of the event. The cleaning deposit will be returned when the event is over if the event area is clean. Alternatively, if the customer does not want to clean, they can choose to pay the $50 and we will handle normal cleanup. The cleaning deposit may be waived for repeat customers or current B&B guests. Excessive dirtiness or damages are not covered by the $50 deposit and will be billed separately.

Pavilion Pricing***

*** A $100 down-payment will be collected when the reservation is made and the balance must be paid in full at least one month before the event. It is fully refundable up to two weeks prior to the event date and not refundable after that unless we're able to book another guest, in which case we'll refund that amount. Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of rain or weather that a reasonable person would find inhospitable to their event, Southern Viking B&B will offer to reschedule your event to a new date/time that is available or a refund of our venue fees, if rescheduling is not possible. Any food or consumable goods already purchased by Southern Viking for your event are not refundable. Charges associated with third-party rentals or deposits already paid or obligated to be paid to third-party vendors regardless of weather may not be refundable regardless of whether they are arranged by the customer or with the help of Southern Viking. Items which fall into that non-refundable status will be known by the customer at the time the rental agreement is signed.

FAQ

Can we rent the pool before 1pm or after 5:30pm?

After 5pm the pool and sundeck are available exclusively to our Bed & Breakfast guests. The only way to reserve the pool for private events after 5:30pm is if the guests of your event are also the only registered B&B guests.

Is there a lifeguard on duty?

We do not have a life guard on duty at events. The customer and their guests swim at their own risk. If desired by the customer for their event, Southern Viking will help locate a life guard and arrange their services and pass on their cost without any markup.

2022 Watercraft Rentals

We are pleased to announce the rates and details for renting our watercrafts. We have canoes, kayaks, and one paddleboat. We will drop off and pick up the crafts at the old US-150 boat ramp (north-west ramp).

Our 2022 Pricing

Hours of operation for watercrafts are 8am (or sun-up, if later) to 8pm (or before sun-down, if earlier). Boaters must be fitted for and take an approved life jacket with them on the watercraft. An adult over the age of 21 with a valid credit card and driver's license must complete the rental application and every boater (or their legal guardian) must sign a release of liability.

Boating Safety

Boating can be a lot of fun, but it can be dangerous if one is unprepared. We do not want to see anyone hurt or take unnecessary chances with their safety. We have implemented the following to facilitate a safe and fun experience.

Each craft is equipped with a safety kit (waterproof flashlight, whistle, phone numbers, disposable waterproof rain poncho, and safety cheat-sheet).

All boaters are required to be fitted for and take a life jacket with them.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of rain or weather that is unsafe or inhospitable to an enjoyable experience, Southern Viking B&B will offer a full refund of the watercraft rental fee. If the bad weather occurs while the rental is in progress, we will offer a pro-rated refund of the watercraft rental fee.

Can we use the watercrafts on other bodies of water?

Not at this time.

Oops. I lost an oar, paddle, or life jacket?

We will provide you with a bill for the cost of replacing with a comparable item.

Is there a deposit for watercrafts?

No, the full amount is collected prior to launch and usually the watercrafts are rented at the time of use. If abandoned reservations for watercrafts results in lost sales, we may later add a deposit requirement.
